ALTEN is growing its team in Broughton and we’re looking for a proactive Manufacturing Engineer to support the deployment and adoption of our MES (Manufacturing Execution System) on the production floor. This role is ideal for someone who’s ready to take ownership, work autonomously, and lead from the front.

Key Responsibilities:
- MES Implementation Support: Understand how the MES platform works and guide operators through day‑to‑day use.
- Training Delivery: Lead training sessions on the shop floor, ensuring operators are confident and fully onboarded.
- KPI Creation & Tracking: Develop and monitor KPIs to measure system adoption and performance.
- Customer Reporting: Provide clear updates to the customer, including onboarding progress and training completion.
- Project‑Focused Mindset: Work in a structured, organised way to support a smooth rollout across production areas.
- Autonomous Working: Take initiative, solve problems on the spot, and keep momentum without needing close supervision.
Qualifications Required Skills:
- Manufacturing or engineering background, ideally with 1–3 years’ experience.
- Strong communication skills and confidence working directly with operators and cross‑functional teams.
- Ability to learn MES tools quickly and explain them clearly to others.
Required Qualifications:
- A Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Engineering, or equivalent military experience.
Desirable Skills:
- Strong problem‑solving mindset with the ability to troubleshoot issues on the shop floor.
- Comfort working in fast‑paced production environments and adapting to changing priorities.
- Confidence engaging with operators and supervisors to gather feedback and drive adoption.
