ALTEN UK is looking for Piping Design Engineers to join a high-impact programme in the Nuclear energy sector based in Warrington. You’ll play a key role in the design and optimisation of complex piping systems within power generation and industrial energy infrastructure. Your main responsibilities will be:

  • Develop and optimise piping layouts to ensure safe and efficient fluid and gas transport within energy facilities such as power plants or refineries.
  • Ensure piping systems comply with all relevant industry codes and safety standards.
  • Conduct technical risk assessments, identifying potential hazards and implementing effective design solutions.
  • Collaborate with multidisciplinary engineering teams to ensure integrated, compliant, and constructible designs.
  • Prepare detailed design documentation, including specifications, calculations, and reports to support project delivery phases.
  • Use industry-standard 3D modelling tools such as PDMS or E3D to produce accurate piping system models and layouts.
