ALTEN is looking for an experienced Project Manager to lead a critical lighting-modernisation programme within the aerospace sector. This role oversees a contracting partner responsible for removing legacy lighting systems and installing new LED technology across operational aerospace facilities.
Location: Broughton
On Site: 4x a week
Clearance: Not required
Experience Level: Mid Level
Key Responsibilities:
- Manage the end-to-end delivery of a facility lighting upgrade project.
- Oversee contractor performance, communication, and accountability.
- Coordinate project planning, cost impacts, risks, and progress reporting.
- Lead on-site activities during the launch phase, including routine meetings and stakeholder engagement.
- Track and report project benefits upon completion.
Qualifications Required Skills:
- Experience in aerospace or manufacturing environments (safety-critical or regulated settings).
- Proven background managing engineering or infrastructure projects.
- Strong supplier and contract management capability.
- Confident communication and stakeholder-management skills.
- Ability to work remotely during planning phases and lead effectively on-site during execution.
- Strong organisational and delivery-focused mindset.
Required Qualifications:
- A Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Engineering, or equivalent military experience.
Desirable Skills:
- Background in electrical, facilities, or lighting-related upgrades.
