We are seeking an Electrical Design Engineer to join a leading robotics and automation programme in the aerospace sector. The role will involve electrical layout design, supporting the development of robotic systems, jigs, and tools used in advanced manufacturing environments.
Key Responsibilities
- Design and develop electrical layouts, wiring diagrams, and schematics for robotic systems
- Support the design and integration of control cabinets and electrical assemblies
- Collaborate with mechanical and automation engineers to ensure system compatibility
- Participate in prototype builds, testing, and de-risking activities
- Produce technical documentation and Bills of Materials (BOMs)
Qualifications
Mandatory Skills & Experience
- Proven aerospace industry background
- Hands-on robotics or automation experience
- Strong skills in electrical design and layout
- Proficiency with electrical CAD tools (e.g., EPLAN, AutoCAD Electrical, or similar)
- 2β4 years' experience in electrical or control system design
- Understanding of jigs and tools used in aerospace manufacturing
Desirable
- Knowledge of PLC systems and industrial control hardware
- Experience supporting prototype and test environments
- Strong problem-solving and cross-discipline communication skills
