Join us and start building tomorrow's world today!Job DescriptionAs a Principal Systems Engineer (Landing Gear), you will join our team to support our activities within the Aerospace sector.You will play a key role in the development of aircraft landing gear systems, ensuring solutions are compliant with customer requirements and certification standards. Working within a structured systems engineering framework, you will drive requirements definition, system development, and supplier management across complex aerospace programmes.Location: BristolOn Site: 2-3 days per week Clearance: Eligibility for UK Security Clearance requiredExperience Level: Senior/Principal Key Responsibilities: Lead the systems engineering activities for aircraft landing gear systemsDefine and manage the system development plan in line with programme requirementsCapture, analyse, and translate customer needs into system and sub-system requirementsOversee requirements validation and product verification activitiesManage the development of structures, extension/retraction systems, hydraulics, and electrical harnessesCoordinate and manage equipment suppliers (e.g. actuators, hydraulic components, electrical systems)Ensure compliance with regulatory and certification requirementsQualificationsRequired Skills: Strong experience in systems engineering within aerospace or complex engineering environmentsKnowledge of landing gear systems or hydromechanical systemsProven experience across the full system V-cycleStrong background in requirements management and system verification/validationExperience managing suppliers and external partnersUnderstanding of safety-critical and regulated systemsRequired Qualifications: A Bachelor's or Master's degree in Engineering, or equivalentmilitary experience.Extensive experience in systems engineering or system development rolesProven experience in requirements capture, analysis, and decompositionDesirable Skills: Experience working on landing gear systems or similar aerospace equipmentFamiliarity with aerospace certification standards and processesExperience within OEMs or Tier 1 aerospace suppliersExposure to multi-disciplinary integration (mechanical, hydraulic, electrical systems)Additional InformationWhy join us?
