Job Description
We are seeking an experienced
Project Quality Engineer to support the delivery of major engineering and infrastructure projects within a highly regulated environment.
Working closely with project teams, suppliers, and site personnel, you will ensure quality requirements are implemented, maintained, and continuously improved throughout the project lifecycle.
This is an excellent opportunity for a quality professional with experience in manufacturing, construction, energy, or nuclear sectors who is passionate about process compliance, inspections, and quality assurance.
Key Responsibilities
- Ensure project quality assurance activities are delivered in line with customer and regulatory requirements.
- Monitor compliance with quality processes, procedures, and Inspection & Test Plans (ITPs).
- Conduct quality inspections, verification activities, dimensional checks, and review NDT records.
- Support supplier quality audits, assessments, and site quality reviews.
- Analyse quality performance and produce KPI reports for management and project stakeholders.
- Identify non-conformances and support corrective and preventive actions.
- Review quality documentation including inspection records, manufacturing dossiers, and welding documentation.
- Drive continuous improvement initiatives and promote Lean Manufacturing principles.
- Support project teams to achieve compliance with applicable quality standards and specifications.
Qualifications
- Required Skills
- Proven experience as a Quality Engineer, Project Quality Engineer, Quality Assurance Engineer, or similar role.
- Strong understanding of quality assurance and quality control processes within manufacturing, construction, engineering, or energy projects.
- Experience with Inspection & Test Plans (ITPs), inspections, and verification activities.
- Knowledge of NDT methods and dimensional inspection techniques.
- Experience working with supplier quality management and site quality reviews.
- Strong reporting and KPI analysis skills, including advanced Excel proficiency.
- Understanding of welding procedures and quality documentation.
- Familiarity with RCCM requirements.
- Knowledge of ISO 9001 and ideally ISO 19443 standards.
- Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.

- Experience within the nuclear sector, particularly Nuclear New Build projects.
- Lean Manufacturing certification or practical application experience.
