Job Description
We are looking for a Quality Manager to support quality assurance and quality control activities on a major infrastructure project within a highly regulated environment. This role is ideal for a quality professional with experience across civil construction, infrastructure, manufacturing, or engineering projects who enjoys working closely with delivery teams to ensure compliance, drive quality standards, and support successful project outcomes. You will play a key role in managing quality processes, supporting inspections and surveillance activities, resolving non-conformances, and ensuring quality records are maintained to the highest standards.
Key Responsibilities:
- Manage and support Quality Assurance and Quality Control activities across project delivery.
- Develop, review, and maintain Inspection and Test Plans (ITPs).
- Lead the management and close-out of Non-Conformance Reports (NCRs).
- Conduct quality surveillance activities to verify compliance with project requirements.
- Review and maintain Lifetime Quality Records (LTQRs) and associated documentation.
- Support audits, inspections, and quality reviews with internal and external stakeholders.
- Work closely with Construction, Engineering, Manufacturing, and Project teams to promote a strong quality culture.
- Identify quality risks and support the implementation of corrective and preventive actions.
- Ensure compliance with project specifications, regulatory requirements, and quality management systems.
- Produce clear quality reports and performance metrics.
Please note: This role is focused on construction, civil, and manufacturing quality. Candidates whose experience is predominantly welding inspection or NDT-focused may not be suitable.
Qualifications
Required Skills:
- Experience in a Quality Manager, Quality Engineer, QA/QC Engineer, or similar quality-focused role.
- Strong understanding of Quality Assurance and Quality Control principles.
- Experience managing:
- Inspection & Test Plans (ITPs)
- Non-Conformance Reports (NCRs)
- Quality Surveillance activities
- Lifetime Quality Records (LTQRs)
- Experience working within construction, civil engineering, infrastructure, manufacturing, energy, defence, rail, or nuclear environments.
- Ability to engage effectively with site teams, engineers, suppliers, and stakeholders.
- Strong organisational, analytical, and problem-solving skills.
- Excellent communication and reporting abilities.
Required Qualifications:
- A Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Engineering, or equivalent military experience.
- Relevant quality certifications are advantageous.
Desirable Skills:
- Experience within nuclear or other highly regulated industries.
- Knowledge of ISO 9001 and quality management systems.
- Experience supporting supplier and contractor quality activities.
- Exposure to major infrastructure or construction projects.
