As an Electronics Engineer, you will join the Birmingham team to support our activities within the Aerospace sector. This role involves the design, development, and testing of complex electronic and electrical systems, including analogue and digital circuits, power electronics, and embedded systems. You will work closely with cross-functional teams to integrate components and subsystems, ensuring compliance with aerospace standards and accelerating the development lifecycle.

Experience Level: 5-10 Years
Key Responsibilities:
- Design, develop, and test electronic and electrical hardware components, including analogue and digital circuits, power units, and processing elements.
- Integrate power electronics converters with associated subsystems such as electrical machines, control systems, and power networks.
- Research, select, and evaluate electronic and electrical components, assemblies, and emerging technologies.
- Develop component, subsystem, and system-level models to support design acceleration, testing, and verification.
- Create and review technical documentation, including architecture documents, test procedures, and technical reports.
- Collaborate with PCB, thermal, and firmware engineers to ensure design alignment and integration.
Qualifications Required Skills:
- Strong analogue and digital electronics design capabilities.
- Experience with electronic system integration, verification, and testing.
- Knowledge of power electronics, embedded systems, and thermal management solutions.
- Competent in MATLAB, LTSpice, and PCB CAD tools (Cadence, Altium); ANSYS or thermal simulation experience desirable.
Required Qualifications:
- A Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Engineering, or equivalent military experience.
- 5–10 years’ experience in electronics design and development, preferably in aerospace, defence, or military programmes.
- Familiarity with industry standards including DO-254 and DO-160.
- Strong technical writing, communication, and documentation skills.
Desirable Skills:
- Knowledge of high-reliability power electronics components and sub-systems.
- Experience with system-level simulation, FPGA, or embedded firmware development.
- Exposure to aerospace and defence certification processes.
