Job Description
Advancing next‑generation magnetic sensing and detection technologies for challenging marine environments. You will work at the intersection of physics, electromagnetics, signal processing, and prototype development, contributing to the design, modelling, and validation of highly sensitive detection systems.

Key Responsibilities:
- Develop magnetic sensing concepts for use in complex marine environments
- Apply electromagnetic theory to model, simulate, and predict system behaviour
- Design signal‑processing algorithms to enhance detection accuracy and performance
- Build and test prototypes, supporting experimental trials and system validation
- Collaborate across disciplines including hardware, software, and mechanical engineering teams
- Contribute to innovation through research, technical advancements, and intellectual property development
Qualifications
Required Skills:
- PhD‑level expertise (or equivalent experience) in Physics, Electromagnetics, Electrical Engineering, or a closely related field
- Strong foundation in magnetic field theory and electromagnetic modelling
- Experience with simulation tools such as MATLAB, COMSOL, ANSYS, or similar platforms
- Background in sensor or detection system development
- Programming capability in Python, C/C++, or MATLAB
Required Qualifications:
- A Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Engineering, or equivalent military experience.
Desirable Skills:
- Experience in marine, defence, or geophysical sensing applications
- Knowledge of low‑noise instrumentation and sensor calibration techniques
- Familiarity with embedded systems or real‑time data acquisition
- Track record of research output such as publications or patented technologies
