As a System Engineer, you will join our team in Preston to support our activities within the Defence sector.
Your main responsibilities will be:

Manage high level system requirements defined the by the user needs of the product set out the electronic controls functions required.

Develop accurate models and algorithms in MATLAB/ SIMULINK that control the systems movement and performance ensuring stability amongst other controls performance indicators.

Conducting simulations to predict the behaviour and performance of the system using Stateflow and Statecharts.

Implementing best practices and continuously improve modelling process.

A team player, being able to manage and work with various stakeholders and departments.

An excellent communicator at all levels with a strong drive to develop and grow within the organisation.

proactive, * Bachelors’ degree in a relevant engineering disciple with demonstrable experience.

Strong understanding of the implementation of the V-model of Systems Engineering

Previous industrial experience or exposure to hydro-mechanical systems, component & system validation, control logic design or avionic systems.

Experience in Fuel systems and Landing gear within aerospace sector
-
Previous application of requirement management tools such as IBM DOORS, Matlab, Simulink or similar.

Familiarity with Model Based Systems Engineering (MBSE) and/or Modelling and Simulation is desirable.
