Join our team as an Integration & Verification Engineer and take a leading role in ensuring the reliability and performance of complex embedded systems for advanced defence applications. You will focus on system-level integration testing, designing and executing comprehensive test plans for both automation and manual testing. Your expertise in Red Hat Linux, BASH scripting, and virtualization technologies will be critical in validating hardware-software components and optimizing mission-critical systems. This role offers the opportunity to work on cutting-edge defence projects where precision, compliance, and innovation are essential.

Location: Reading
On-site: 5 days per week
Seniority: Mid-Senior
Clearance: Candidates must be willing and eligible to obtain SC clearance.

Key Responsibilities

  • Conduct system-level integration testing for hardware and software components in embedded defence systems.
  • Design, execute, and maintain test plans for both automation and manual testing scenarios.
  • Utilize BASH scripting and Red Hat Linux to streamline testing processes and environments.
  • Leverage virtualization and Docker for efficient deployment and testing of containerized applications.
  • Identify, troubleshoot, and resolve issues during testing to ensure systems meet rigorous performance and compliance standards.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to validate and optimize embedded systems for defence applications.

Qualifications

Required Skills

  • 5+ years of experience in integration testing within complex embedded systems.
  • Strong knowledge of Red Hat Linux, BASH scripting, and virtualization technologies.
  • Hands-on experience in automation testing, complemented by manual testing expertise.
  • Proficiency with Docker for containerized applications.
  • Proven ability to write comprehensive test plans and execute system-level validation.
  • Experience in testing within defence or related high-integrity systems is highly desirable.
