Job Description
Join our team as an Electrical Design Engineer and take a key role in the redesign and development of electrical systems for advanced defence applications. You will focus on electrical design, including the redesign of test jigs and Integration, Verification, Validation, and Qualification (IVVQ) activities. Your expertise will ensure the delivery of robust, compliant, and high-performance electrical solutions that meet the rigorous demands of the defence sector. This role offers the opportunity to work on cutting-edge projects where precision, innovation, and compliance are essential.
Location: Crawley
On-site: 5 days per week
Seniority: Mid-Senior
Clearance: Candidates must be willing and eligible to obtain SC clearance.
Key Responsibilities
- Support the redesign of test jigs and associated electrical systems.
- Perform electrical design activities, ensuring compliance with industry and defence standards.
- Conduct Integration, Verification, Validation, and Qualification to guarantee system reliability and performance.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to integrate electrical designs into broader system architectures.
- Troubleshoot and resolve technical issues, ensuring designs meet functional and safety requirements.
- Produce and maintain technical documentation, including schematics, test reports, and compliance records.
Qualifications Required Skills
- Proven experience in electrical design, including test jig development and V&V activities.
- Strong understanding of electrical engineering principles and defence/aerospace standards.
- Proficiency in CAD tools (e.g., Altium, AutoCAD Electrical, or similar) for schematic capture and PCB layout.
- Experience in testing, troubleshooting, and validating electrical systems.
- Ability to interpret and apply technical specifications and regulatory requirements.
