We are looking for a Mechanical / Pressure Systems Engineer to support structural integrity and pressure equipment compliance activities across major nuclear programmes in the UK. You will play a key role in ensuring pressure systems, vessels, and mechanical assets meet stringent regulatory and design code requirements, working within complex, multidisciplinary project environments.

Key Responsibilities

  • Deliver structural integrity and pressure systems compliance activities across nuclear assets
  • Support design, assessment, and verification of pressure equipment to ASME and/or RCC‑M codes
  • Contribute to conformity assessment and regulatory compliance activities (UK nuclear standards)
  • Liaise with regulators, supply chain partners, and internal engineering teams
  • Provide technical input into pressure boundary integrity and mechanical design reviews
  • Support manufacturing, installation, inspection, and lifecycle integrity activities
  • Work within multi‑disciplinary engineering teams across large‑scale infrastructure projects

Qualifications Required Skills

  • Background in Mechanical Engineering or related discipline
  • Experience in pressure systems, pressure vessels, or structural integrity engineering
  • Exposure to Regulated Industries: Nuclear Power generation, Oil & Gas, Petrochemical
  • Experience working to ASME, RCC‑M, or similar pressure design codes
  • Understanding of conformity assessment or regulatory compliance frameworks
  • Experience in large‑scale engineering or asset management projects
  • Comfortable working in matrix / multi‑stakeholder environments
  • Knowledge of UK nuclear industry standards and regulators (e.g. ONR)
  • Multi‑cultural / international project experience

Required Qualifications

  • A Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Engineering, or equivalent military experience
  • Chartered Engineer (CEng / IMechE) preferred, or working towards chartership
