As a Power Electronics Engineer, you will join our London team to support our activities within the clean energy and hydrogen technologies sector. You will play a key role in the design and development of electrical and power electronic systems for fuel cell and electrolysis technologies. Working within a multidisciplinary Systems Engineering team, you will contribute to innovative clean energy solutions, supporting the design, modelling, grid integration, installation, and commissioning of next-generation power systems.

Key Responsibilities:
- Contribute to the design and development of fuel cell and electrolyser stack systems and associated electrical architectures.
- Develop electrical network designs for grid-connected fuel cell and electrolysis systems across AC and DC distribution networks.
- Perform electrical modelling, power analysis, and technical feasibility assessments.
- Produce electrical schematics, wiring diagrams, and technical design documentation.
- Review and approve electrical designs and installation activities completed by contractors and suppliers.
- Provide technical guidance to project teams on electrical design risks and integration challenges.
- Ensure compliance with relevant electrical standards including IEEE, ANSI, IEC, and NFPA.
- Generate and review interface requirements for system integration and external connections.
- Support installation, troubleshooting, commissioning, and validation of electrical systems.
Qualifications Required Skills:
- Strong experience in electrical design and power electronic systems.
- Experience delivering grid connection solutions for power generation or industrial power systems.
- Practical experience with AC and DC electrical distribution systems.
- Knowledge of cable sizing, protection device selection, earthing/grounding design, and electrical infrastructure.
- Experience interfacing electrical systems with PLCs, microcontrollers, power converters, and protection systems.
- Understanding of national and international electrical standards and grid connection requirements.
- Experience using ETAP, EPLAN, MATLAB, or equivalent analysis and design tools.
- Ability to review electrical drawings, schematics, loads, BoMs, and design documentation.
- Strong communication, organisational, and stakeholder management skills.
Required Qualifications:
- A Bachelor's or Master's degree in Engineering, or equivalent military experience.
- Experience working on complex electrical system design projects.
- Strong understanding of electrical power systems, network design, and integration activities.
- Experience supporting projects through design, implementation, and commissioning phases.
Desirable Skills:
- Experience within fuel cell, electrolysis, hydrogen, renewable energy, or power generation sectors.
- Experience working on MW-scale power systems.
- Knowledge of power system modelling and simulation techniques.
- Experience supporting research and development or prototype technology programmes.
- Fluency in Korean, Mandarin, Chinese, or German.
- Experience working with international teams and global engineering partners.
