Are you an experienced Control System Design Engineer with a background in Programmable Electronic Systems (PES) and CE&I design? We are looking for a talented engineer to support the delivery of complex engineering projects within a highly regulated environment. You will be responsible for delivering and checking PES-based Control System designs and modifications, ensuring solutions meet functional and business requirements while complying with relevant engineering standards. Working across the full project lifecycle, you will contribute from concept design through to final handover in Warrington.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop and review PES-based Control System designs and modifications.
- Produce high-quality CE&I design documentation.
- Ensure compliance with relevant engineering standards and project requirements.
- Provide technical support during commissioning activities.
- Participate in design reviews and technical assurance activities.
- Support and mentor junior engineers where appropriate.
- Work closely with a range of engineering disciplines to deliver project objectives.
Qualifications Required Skills
- Incorporated Engineer (IEng) status or equivalent professional qualification.
- At least 3 years' experience delivering PES-based Control System designs on multidisciplinary projects from concept through to handover.
- Working knowledge of relevant engineering standards and design processes.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills.
- Experience providing technical support during commissioning.
- Willingness to support and mentor early‑career engineers.
Required Qualifications
- A Bachelor's or Master's degree in Engineering, or equivalent military experience.
Desirable Skills
- 3+ years' experience delivering PES-based Control System designs on multidisciplinary projects.
- Experience within highly regulated industries such as nuclear, defence, energy, utilities, or process industries.
- Strong understanding of applicable engineering standards and best practices.
