Role Summary: We are seeking a detail-oriented Financial Data Analyst with strong data handling skills and hands-on experience in Excel and SAP. This role is focused on maintaining, validating, reconciling, and consolidating financial data across day-to-day and month-end processes. The successful candidate will support finance reporting, data quality, and consolidation activities, ensuring financial information is accurate, complete, and delivered on time.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Perform day-to-day and month-end finance data tasks including data collection, validation, reconciliations, and reporting support.
  • Prepare, maintain, and improve Excel-based data files, trackers, reconciliations, and reporting templates.
  • Extract, review, and analyse finance data from SAP to support reporting, reconciliations, and data accuracy checks.
  • Produce regular finance data reports on headcount, payroll-related costs, operating expenses, and other key business metrics.
  • Responsible for consolidation activities by gathering, validating, and combining finance data from multiple sources for monthly reporting.
  • Reconcile financial data and investigate discrepancies to maintain data accuracy and consistency.
  • Preparation of monthly reporting packs and consolidated reports with accurate underlying data.
  • Assist with ad-hoc data analysis, reporting requests, and process improvements within the finance function.

Qualifications & Experience:

  • Bachelor’s degree in finance, Accounting, Business, Economics, or a related discipline.
  • Experience in a finance, accounting, reporting, or finance data role with exposure to day-to-day and month-end activities.
  • Strong experience working with finance data, reconciliations, reporting packs, data validation, and consolidation support.
  • Advanced Microsoft Excel skills are essential, including experience with large datasets, formulas, reconciliations, and reporting files; hands-on SAP experience is required.
  • Familiarity with Power BI or other reporting tools would be an advantage, along with some exposure to AI tools that support data analysis, reporting automation, or process efficiency improvements.

  • Advanced Excel capability, including working with large datasets, formulas, and reporting templates.
  • Good working knowledge of SAP and confidence in extracting and reviewing financial information.
  • Strong analytical skills with a methodical approach to reviewing, validating, and resolving finance data issues.
  • Ability to manage day-to-day workload effectively and meet regular reporting deadlines.
  • A proactive and reliable approach, with willingness to support ongoing process improvements.
