As a Global Account Manager, you will shape and execute the growth strategy for a major global Aerospace & Defence OEM. You will operate at the heart of ALTEN’s most strategic account, driving multi-year growth, leading commercial campaigns, and ensuring delivery excellence to position ALTEN as a trusted, long-term partner. This is a unique opportunity to combine account leadership, commercial ownership, and international coordination in a highly visible and influential role.

  • Account Strategy & Growth Leadership
    • Develop and own a robust, multi-year account strategy aligned with client priorities and market dynamics
    • Identify high-value growth opportunities, differentiators, and competitive positioning
    • Translate strategic insights into concrete actions and commercial outcomes
  • Execution, Governance & Leadership
    • Drive execution of the account strategy across geographies and business units
    • Lead the operating rhythm (pipeline reviews, forecasts, governance forums) to ensure consistent delivery
    • Engage senior client stakeholders to build trusted, long-term relationships
  • Contract Governance & Delivery Assurance
    • Own the end-to-end management of contractual frameworks (MSAs, KPIs, SLAs, security requirements)
    • Ensure performance against contractual obligations, proactively managing risks and escalations
    • Lead performance reviews, change control, and renewals to secure long-term engagement
    • Lead or support high-value sales and pre-sales campaigns
    • Ensure alignment between client expectations, commercial commitments, and delivery capabilities
    • Drive deal quality and win strategy, increasing conversion on strategic opportunities
    • Act as a connector across Sales, Delivery, Finance, Legal, and Group teams
    • Continuously improve account performance, governance, and efficiency
  • Sustained revenue growth and margin improvement on the account
  • Strong, clearly articulated account strategy aligned across teams
  • High-performing, well-coordinated global account governance
  • Ownership of multi-year growth strategy and account roadmap
  • Clear pathway towards Global Account Manager / Director roles

9+ years’ experience in sales, account management, or delivery leadership within Aerospace, Defence, or industrial sectors. Strong experience managing complex B2B environments and key accounts. Solid background in structured sales, contract management, and deal governance. Strong commercial instinct combined with structured approach. Confident communicator at senior and executive levels. Bachelor’s degree required; eligible for (and willing to obtain) Security Clearance. Willingness to travel across UK locations (London, Derby, Bristol). Work on complex, high-value strategic accounts.
