We are looking for an Electric Motor Design Engineer to join an established aerospace engineering team supporting the development of advanced rotating systems and electric motor technologies. You will play a key role in the mechanical design and development of high-performance components, contributing across the full product lifecycle from concept through to production.

Key Responsibilities:
- Design and develop mechanical components for electric motors and associated rotating systems.
- Support the design of transmission elements including shafts, gearboxes, and related hardware.
- Create and maintain detailed 3D models and design data using CATIA V5.
- Apply GD&T principles to ensure designs meet tight tolerance and performance requirements.
- Support material selection activities, particularly for aluminium and sheet metal components.
- Work closely with cross-functional engineering teams to support product development and integration activities.
Qualifications:
- Experience in rotating component design (e.g. electric motors, transmission systems, gearboxes, shafts).
- Strong 3D modelling experience using CATIA V5.
- Good understanding of GD&T and working within tight tolerance environments.
- Experience selecting and working with materials such as aluminium and sheet metal.
Required Qualifications:
- A Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Engineering, or equivalent military experience.
Desirable Skills:
- Aerospace background or experience working on high-performance, safety-critical mechanical systems.
- Experience supporting products through multiple development stages, from concept to production.
