As an Electrical Design Engineer you will join our Bristol team to support our activities within the Aerospace sector. You will work on advanced robotic systems, developing electrical layouts and designs that support project delivery from concept to validation. The role involves collaborating with multi-disciplinary teams to ensure electrical solutions are robust, manufacturable, and meet programme requirements.

Responsibilities:
- Design and develop electrical layouts and schematics for robotic systems
- Collaborate with multi-disciplinary teams to ensure integration of electrical designs into overall system architecture
- Support the creation of jigs and tooling requirements for electrical assemblies
- Review and approve electrical design documentation to meet technical and quality standards
- Ensure designs are manufacturable, maintainable, and compliant with project specifications
Qualifications
Required Skills:
- Proven experience in electrical design for robotic or automated systems
- Strong ability to produce electrical layouts, schematics, and wiring diagrams
- Experience collaborating with multi-disciplinary engineering teams
- Knowledge of jigs, fixtures, or tooling requirements for electrical assemblies is advantageous
Required Qualifications:
- A Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Mechatronics, or a related discipline, or equivalent military experience
- Experience in electrical design for complex systems or robotics projects
- Strong understanding of engineering design standards and documentation processes
Desirable Skills:
- Exposure to advanced robotics or automation systems
- Knowledge of testing and validation procedures for electrical systems
- Familiarity with CAD tools or electrical design software (e.g., EPLAN, AutoCAD Electrical, or similar)
- Understanding of manufacturing and assembly processes for electrical systems
