As an Environmental Test Engineer, you will join our team in Birmingham to support our activities within the Aerospace sector. You will be responsible for delivering environmental testing activities on aerospace products to validate performance under extreme conditions. The role covers thermal, vibration, and electric motor testing to assess temperature behaviour and operational performance throughout the test lifecycle.

- Plan and execute environmental test activities for aerospace products
- Perform thermal and vibration testing in line with programme requirements
- Conduct electric motor testing to assess temperature performance and operational limits
- Support the definition of test procedures, setups, and acceptance criteria
- Analyse test data and produce clear technical test reports
- Support test reviews and validation activities with engineering and project teams
- Aerospace background with experience in environmental testing
- Strong experience in thermal testing and vibration testing
- Experience testing electric motors, including temperature monitoring and performance evaluation
- Understanding of environmental test standards (DO-160) and procedures
- Ability to work in a structured, regulated engineering environment
- A Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Engineering, or equivalent military experience.
- Proven experience in environmental testing within aerospace programmes
- Familiarity with test documentation, reporting, and validation processes
- Experience with thermal chambers, vibration rigs, and environmental test facilities
- Knowledge of aerospace environmental standards (e.g. DO-160, MIL-STD)
- Experience supporting electric or hybrid propulsion systems
