A leading aerospace organisation is seeking an experienced Quality Engineer to join our team in Belfast to strengthen and elevate supplier performance across a complex, fast‑moving global supply chain. This is a pivotal role for someone who thrives on driving quality excellence, ensuring supplier compliance, and supporting the delivery of world‑class aerospace products. You’ll be the key interface between internal quality teams and an international supplier base, ensuring that all purchased components meet stringent industry, regulatory, and customer requirements.

Key Responsibilities:
- Lead supplier quality assurance activities across the full product lifecycle
- Manage supplier audits, surveillance, and performance improvement plans
- Drive root cause analysis and implement robust corrective and preventive actions
- Support industrialisation, first article inspection (FAI), and conformity processes
- Ensure suppliers meet aerospace quality standards (AS9100, EN9100, NADCAP, etc.)
- Collaborate with engineering, procurement, and operations to resolve supply chain issues
- Monitor KPIs and develop strategies to enhance supplier capability and maturity
- Champion continuous improvement across the supply base
Required Skills:
- Proven experience in aerospace supply chain quality management
- Strong understanding of aerospace manufacturing processes, quality systems, and regulatory frameworks
- Ability to interpret engineering drawings and technical specifications
- Excellent communication skills and the confidence to challenge and influence suppliers
- A proactive, solutions‑focused mindset with a passion for quality excellence
Required Qualifications:
- A Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Engineering, or equivalent military experience.
Desirable Skills:
- Experience managing complex, multi‑tier supply chains within a regulated engineering environment
- Strong auditing capability including supplier surveillance, process audits, and special process oversight
- Ability to interpret engineering drawings, specifications, and manufacturing documentation
