Job Description

We are seeking a Quality Engineer to provide on-site quality support within a production environment in Belfast. The role will focus on managing quality issues related to metallic structural panels delivered for a major aerospace assembly, with particular emphasis on supporting production teams and resolving non-conformances. This position is ideal for someone with a strong quality or manufacturing background who is comfortable working close to the factory floor and liaising with multiple stakeholders.

Experience Level: Mid Level

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide quality support to the production site for delivered metallic panels used in structural assemblies
  • Manage and support production-related non-conformances (NCs), ensuring effective tracking, investigation, and closure
  • Work closely with manufacturing and quality teams to support ongoing production activities
  • Ensure quality issues are addressed promptly to minimise impact on schedule and delivery
  • Maintain accurate documentation and follow defined quality and compliance processes

Qualifications Required Skills:

  • Experience in a manufacturing or production quality environment
  • Hands-on involvement in managing non-conformances and quality issues
  • Understanding of metallic structures or assemblies
  • Strong communication skills and ability to work on site with cross-functional teams
  • Eligible for and able to obtain required system and site access
  • Knowledge of aerospace manufacturing methods and tools

Required Qualifications:

  • A Bachelors or Masters degree in Engineering, or equivalent military experience.

Desirable Skills:

  • Background in Manufacturing Engineering
  • Familiarity with large-scale production or assembly programmes
