We are looking for a Standards & Controls Engineer to support the design, deployment, and optimisation of industrial control systems used in high-volume manufacturing environments. In this role, you will collaborate across engineering and operations functions to ensure smooth integration of production systems, maintaining technical consistency and operational performance across automated manufacturing processes. This position is suited to an engineer with hands-on exposure to industrial automation, manufacturing systems, and control technologies, ideally within automotive or similar production environments.

Key Responsibilities
- Support end-to-end delivery of control systems, from early specification and design through to commissioning and production deployment.
- Act as a technical interface between engineering, IT, and operations teams to ensure seamless integration of manufacturing systems.
- Provide hands-on support during commissioning phases, troubleshooting issues, and ensuring stable system operation in live production environments.
- Work closely with suppliers and external partners to ensure delivery aligns with technical, cost, and quality expectations.
- Maintain engineering standards, system documentation, and interface definitions across automated manufacturing environments.
- Contribute to continuous improvement activities within production control and automation systems.
- Ensure manufacturing systems remain reliable, compliant, and aligned with operational requirements.
Required Skills
- Experience working with industrial control systems from specification through to deployment.
- Strong background in manufacturing automation or production engineering environments.
- Practical experience with PLCs, robotics systems, CNC programming, or machine electrical design.
- Ability to support system commissioning and resolve technical issues in production settings.
- Experience collaborating across engineering, IT, and operations teams.
- Strong understanding of manufacturing processes and automated production systems.
Required Qualifications
- A Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Engineering, or equivalent military experience.
