About the Role
This is a critical role for the Dunstall Holdings Group to bring its Environmental, Health & Safety, and compliance issues to a level of consistency across the Group. Most importantly to ensure our obligations are being met on all levels of training, adherence to policy and practice and compliance with legislation, and all current accreditation standards to requirements.
The role will ensure compliance with safety legislation, continually striving to ensure policies and practices are adopted and adhered to. You will plan, implement, monitor, and review protective and preventative safety measures across the group.
A primary function of this role is also to maintain and update records, SSOW, Risk Assessments, policies and a document register in conjunction with our requirements of the ISO and UKMHA standards.
The role would primarily be based in Lopen, but would cover all business locations across the country, with the requirement to conduct scheduled visits and audit inspections of these locations.
There would be a requirement to maintain the site facilities at Lopen, including responsibility for waste management in accordance with our environmental policies and legal legislation.
Responsibilities
• Continual promotion of a positive HSE culture.
• Ensures all group and site HSE policies and applicable legislation are adhered to, verifying that any changes or developments are incorporated into working practices and company procedures.
• Ensure working practices are safe and comply with legislation.
• Promotes use of the Dunstall Holdings HSE APP, supporting the continual adaptation of this platform to be used for reporting, recording for staff and contractors. Update documentation for direct access to employees.
• Responsible for the ISO 9001, 14001 and 45001 management Systems, and administration, in addition to all accreditations held by the business.
• Review, update, version control and sign off all documentation required for accurate document recording via the library.
• Supports HSE inductions for new starters and refresher training for existing employees.
• Control of COSHH registers, documentation distribution and control, in addition to adhering to new legislative practices.
• Maintain and update the document register for all business requirements.
• Reviewing the production of risk assessments, method statements and SSOW across the sites, giving a particular focus to ensure all the above are documented to cover all work-related risks within the business, and have signed verification of acceptance.
• Ensure toolbox talks and regular H&S discussions are held and documented to include relevant employees and managers.
• Ensure regular Management and H&S meetings are held, and documented to comply with the standards required for continued accreditation,
• Maintains accurate records for all HSE data and presents for reporting where required.
• Become the main point of contact for any relevant third party, contractors and organisations relating to EHS.
• Develops operational emergency response plans.
• Maintains the risk registers of all subsidiaries, and group.
• Drives a continual reduction in waste streams, reducing costs and aiding the group to meet carbon footprint reductions.
• Develop and maintain quality and continual improvements across the group, both internal and external, with associated processes and procedures, including customer feedback monitoring and reporting.
• Provide H&S data and KPI’s on a weekly basis for distribution.
• Ensure Fire Risk assessments, Risk Surveys conducted by our consultants have been actioned and completed in the recommended period.
• Responsible for support and training on all HSE audits / inspections, emergency tests etc, with regular visits to ensure compliance and documentation evidence.
• Ensure all recorded accidents/incidents have been followed up with the relevant documentation and actions to enable them to be signed off as completed.

Candidate Requirements
• NEBOSH Diploma or other relevant H&S qualifications
• Health and Safety experience within the manufacturing, engineering, and customer service industries.
• Excellent communication skills and the ability to work well with a wide range of people.
• Drive and enthusiasm with the ability to promote a positive Health & Safety culture.
• Commitment to continuous professional development.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills e.g. report writing, briefings, and presentation skills.
• An investigative mind.
• Able to work under pressure and deliver results to tight deadlines.
• An interest in the law and the ability to understand regulations.
• A full driving licence, as extensive travel within the UK will be required.
• ISO standards familiarisation and lead auditor certification.
