Altech is a technology, change and executive recruitment business. After a brilliant first 2 years, we\’re looking for employee number 6 (and maybe We\’re fully in our iterative phase right now and are hyper focused on building the most revered and recognisable tech recruitment brand in the North West. We are building a team of incredible human beings who are also (luckily for us) exceptional recruiters, to assist our clients to innovate, modernise and grow.
We currently recruit, mainly, across Engineering, Product, AI and Transformation (alongside exec search) and would love to find ambitious recruiters who can either bolster our capability in these areas, or bring something fresh and new. You will be an experienced, market immersed recruiter and so we\’re all ears around market and what you can build.
Honestly, we know it\’s a pain moving and starting again, but you are looking for a reason. The things you dislike in your current role, are often mirrored in other businesses (heavy call targets/toxic cultures/limited earning potentials /micromanagement). This is where we differ. So what do we offer you?
- Money: Most companies will pay you 28-35% of what you bill. We offer 50%. Do the maths on your billings what would you earn if you billed £200k? With us it would be £100k (minimum)
- Work life balance: We have a work from anywhere policy. We do meet up in our Manchester HQ weekly but it\’s not forced. We do it because we want to talk, collaborate and help each other succeed. But we won\’t be forcing you in. We know we have busy lives outside of work and we want you to feel empowered to work how you want.
- Ownership of your market: We don\’t want you competing with the person sat next to you for candidates. If you do the PHP market (for example), that\’s your market to nurture and earn in. We want you to immerse yourself, build a solid brand and be known as the market expert.
- Empowered ways of working: We work to OKRs not KPIs. If you see the value in doing a call do it, if you see the value in emailing do it, if you want to host an event, go on a client meeting or create a podcast we will empower you to do so. We love that everyone thrives in a different way in recruitment. No 2 recruiters need to work in the same way to be a success and we will love that.

What do we need?
- A good billing history: You will have need to made £500k so far in your recruitment career, ideally in a North West technology market.
- The ability to run a 360 desk. We are too small to hand you 100s of clients from day 1. We will help and work together but you need the drive to bring in the business.
- Growth mindset. We want people who aspire to lead a business or find financial freedom. Let\’s continuously learn, develop and grow together.
- The ability to own accountability: We\’re a team that oozes relentlessness, not because of highly driven KPIs, but because we want to better ourselves and the business. You\’ll need that inner beast, for sure.
