I'm currently partnering with a growing UK manufacturing business that is looking to appoint its first dedicated senior data hire. This is an opportunity to take ownership of the company's data strategy, architecture and governance, helping build a modern, scalable data platform that supports decision-making across the business.
Reporting directly to senior leadership, you'll combine hands-on technical expertise with strategic influence, leading an established offshore data engineering partner while working closely with stakeholders across finance, operations and commercial teams.
- Define the technology stack and architecture for the organisation's enterprise data warehouse
- Establish data modelling standards, semantic layers and reusable datasets
- Oversee ETL pipelines across ERP, CRM and operational systems
- Implement data quality, governance and DataOps best practices
- Lead and direct an established offshore data engineering partner
- Work closely with operational, commercial and finance stakeholders
- Act as the technical authority across the data estate
Experience with modern data warehouse tooling; Strong SQL and dimensional modelling expertise.
Experience working with ERP and financial data environments.
Experience leading distributed, offshore or third-party delivery teams.
Experience defining data architecture, modelling standards and semantic layers.
Knowledge of data governance frameworks, data quality controls and data stewardship principles.
Hybrid working (3 days per week in the office).
