I’m working with one of Manchester’s biggest success stories right now. They have developed an agentic AI product that has gained huge adoption and market share across retail, ecommerce and ERP markets. It’s a product at the forefront of Artificial Intelligence, and has earned the company significant investment, which they are using to hire brilliant people and improve the tech. This is the best of both worlds: joining a company with huge backing and security, whilst thriving in a scaling start-up environment.
They are looking for someone technical to join the Commercial & Product team. This will be to help with Pre-Sales, product demos, designing solutions, building proof-of-concept integrations, and working alongside both Sales and Technical teams. Strong technical pre-sales skills are imperative, with a good working knowledge of integrations. A background in technical integration or software engineering will be useful.
Day-to-Day:
- Supporting the Sales team with complex technical meetings, solution architecture or live demonstrations
- Leading technical conversations, mapping the customer's existing system landscape, integration requirements, data volumes and technical constraints
- Designing solutions tailored to the customer's use case, including connector architecture, data flow and tenant configuration
- Delivering live product demonstrations customised to each customer’s specific integration environment
- Building proof-of-concept integrations for strategic deals, demonstrating real-world capability using the customer’s actual systems where possible
- Writing the technical sections of commercial proposals
- Supporting existing clients on complex technical questions
- Feeding structured product feedback from customer conversations into the quarterly product roadmap process
What They Are Looking For:
- Strong experience in pre-sales, solutions engineering or integration consultancy role
- Hands-on experience with integration platforms like iPaaS tools, API management or workflow automation products
- Ability to read, write and reason about API specifications, data transformation and system connectivity
- Familiarity with UK retail and ecommerce platforms
- Knowledge of ERP systems
- Experience with SaaS platforms would be a bonus
For this role, you will need to be both highly technical and personable. The Bonus structure is based on deals closed directly from your involvement.
