You will support a cloud-based, mission‑critical data platform used across a fast-growing FinTech environment. The focus of this role is performance, reliability and operational excellence across PostgreSQL & SQL systems hosted in GCP.
What you will be doing:
- Investigate and resolve query and system performance issues
- Support incident resolution and production stability
- Support schema changes and database deployments
- Improve database design and reduce technical debt
- Support CloudSQL environments in GCP
- Assist with monitoring, automation and operational tooling
- Contribute to disaster recovery, backup and recovery processes
- Support data movement into BigQuery
- Work with Dataflow / Datastream pipelines
