A growing FinTech business is looking for a Cloud Infrastructure Engineer to join their expanding platform team. This is an opportunity to work within a modern cloud-native environment, helping to build, improve and scale infrastructure supporting enterprise customers across the UK and internationally.

You’ll work across GCP, Kubernetes and Terraform, with a strong focus on automation, infrastructure reliability, security, observability and platform scalability within a collaborative engineering-led culture.

What you’ll be doing
  • Build, manage and optimise cloud infrastructure within GCP
  • Support and maintain Kubernetes environments using GKE
  • Deliver Infrastructure as Code using Terraform
  • Improve CI/CD pipelines, deployment automation and operational efficiency
  • Strengthen platform monitoring, observability and reliability
  • Support secure and scalable cloud environments
  • Work closely with engineering teams on infrastructure and platform improvements
  • Identify technical debt and drive continuous improvement initiatives

  • Solid experience managing and deploying cloud based infrastructure, including Windows Server and Linux VM administration
  • Strong grasp of cloud security principles, encompassing IAM, RBAC, secrets management, and network security controls
  • Proficient with Infrastructure as Code, particularly Terraform
  • Strong understanding of core networking concepts including DNS, VPCs, firewalls, and load balancing
  • Demonstrated ability to identify and resolve infrastructure-related issues
  • Ability to document infrastructure clearly for both technical and non-technical audiences
  • Comfortable working across teams and communicating infrastructure decisions to stakeholders
  • A proactive approach to identifying technical debt and suggesting improvements

  • Hands-on experience with Google Cloud Platform (GCP) core services
  • Working knowledge of Google Kubernetes Engine (GKE)
  • Proficiency in PowerShell and/or Linux scripting
