EMEA Sales Director –New Business/Global Manufacturer/Utilities
I’m supporting a global manufacturing business with the hire of an EMEA Sales Director. The role will be leading a small team of BDMs, whilst also growing the EMEA sales function and owning the sales strategy for the region. There’ll be a strong new business element to the role and so a capable individual contributor will be needed. The company manufacture tools, parts and equipment used predominantly in the Utilities, Oil & Gas, Offshore and Marine industries. You’ll still be a hungry and capable sales selling directly to end clients, to OEMs and through MRO distributors. You’ll have solid experience selling tangible goods (hardware/tools/equipment) in to industrial industries. This role will not suit someone who has sold services/software. There’ll be an element of major account development and the need for someone to set up and build strong distribution partnerships. The role will be key in supporting the BDM team in creating a well rounded pipeline of opportunity. You’ll be able to create and manage your own leads, but also have the support of a strong marketing function, driving direct leads straight to you. You’ll be a hunter with experience of mature sales techniques and strategies. Average deal value is between £5k-100k, with large contracts reaching north of £1m. The role would suit a driven head of sales looking for a step up, in to a global and aggressively growing, business. The role will be UK based with travel required to Lancashire HQ as and when required. There’ll be a large amount of travel across the UK and wider EMEA region too. You’ll be paid £100-110,000 on a base plus bonus incentives and a mature benefits package.
