Our client is seeking an experienced Procurement Advisor to support the delivery of efficient and compliant procurement and contract management processes across their organisation. The successful candidate will play a key role in providing expert advice to stakeholders, supporting procurement planning, contract negotiation, and ensuring best practices in line with public sector procurement legislation.
Key Responsibilities
- Build and maintain strong working relationships across internal departments and external stakeholders.
- Provide professional advice on procurement and contracting matters.
- Communicate procurement legislation clearly and support compliance.
- Deliver internal training and presentations on procurement best practices.
- Manage sensitive contractual discussions with tact and diplomacy.
- Evaluate business cases and recommend optimal procurement routes.
- Design and support tender evaluation processes.
- Analyse contract returns and produce reports to support planning and monitoring.
- Conduct performance reviews for contracted services and Service Level Agreements.
- Contribute to the development and implementation of the organisation's procurement plan.
- Assess and manage risk across procurement projects and contracts.
- Prepare tender documentation and manage publication to relevant portals.
- Maintain accurate procurement and contract records.

Requirements
- Expertise in EU/public procurement law through training or equivalent experience.
- Digital/ IT experience.
- Strong contract management experience.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Ability to manage complex workloads and prioritise effectively.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office, particularly Word, Excel, Outlook.
- Strong interpersonal skills and ability to build relationships at all levels.
- Sound negotiation and influencing skills.
