We are currently looking for an experienced Data Solution Architect to join us on a freelance (B2B) basis to optimize our core data infrastructure as we prepare for significant scaling and feature expansion.
Responsibilities:- Analysis & Diagnostics: Analyze the current state of data structures and reporting logic across both our production databases and our Sisense BI environment.
- Bottleneck Identification: Identify performance bottlenecks, data model inconsistencies, and architectural weaknesses within the existing system.
- Refactoring & Optimization: Refactor and optimize the existing solution by applying database-level improvements, adjusting Sisense models, and strategically relocating specific logic from the Sisense layer back to the database.
Your mission will be to significantly improve the performance and scalability of our analytical systems.
Requirements:- SQL Expert Level: Ability to write and optimize complex, high-load queries, implement advanced performance tuning, and define effective indexing strategies.
- Database Administrator: Proven experience in schema design, refactoring legacy databases, normalization/denormalization, and using advanced features like materialized views and partitioning.
- Solution Architecture: Strong ability to define where logic optimally belongs (DB vs. BI vs. ETL) and design the right scalable architecture to support complex analytics.
- Data Analysis Skills: Ability to understand core business metrics (KPIs), map relationships between domain objects, and validate the correctness of analytical outputs.
- BI Tooling: Hands-on experience with Sisense or proven experience in a comparable enterprise BI tool's semantic modeling capabilities (e.g., Power BI/Tableau).
- AWS Experience: Familiarity with services such as RDS, Redshift, Glue, Lambda, S3, IAM.
- Legacy Stabilization: Direct experience stabilizing legacy data warehouses, fixing performance regressions after major releases, and introducing proper data marts or star schemas.
