Altair is looking for experts in consumer regulation, who may also have general social housing regulation expertise, and also governance experience. Successful candidates will be appointed at either Principal Consultant or Senior Consultant levels in our Governance and Regulation team.
About the Role
You’ll have a strong understanding of social housing regulation, a successful track record delivering high-quality projects, and experience working with diverse stakeholders such as tenants, executives, boards, and political leaders.
- You will lead and deliver a range of complex consultancy projects working both independently and as part of a team. With strategic thinking, project management, and stakeholder engagement skills, you’ll work closely with clients to deliver high-quality outcomes, even in high-pressure situations.
- You will manage client projects from start to finish, ensuring goals, deadlines, and budgets are met. This includes setting and managing client expectations, adhering to quality assurance standards, and using effective project management tools tailored to each project’s scope.
- You will leverage your network and client relationships to identify and secure new business opportunities. Taking a lead role in managing client relationships, you will lead the development of new service offerings, development of clear and comprehensive written proposals, and lead client pitches.

· Ability to work independently, commercially aware, adaptable, and one who thrives managing a number of complex projects.
· Confidence in delivering to diverse audiences, a positive, resilient attitude, and a commitment to high-quality work are key.
· Membership of CIH and a degree level qualification is desirable.
· Travel to client sites is expected.
