About ALTA ALTA is a vibrant Spanish-inspired restaurant and bar in the heart of Soho, offering bold flavours, great drinks and a lively atmosphere across two floors.
We're looking for an experienced, hands-on AGM o join our management team and help take the restaurant to the next level.
The Role We're after someone who genuinely enjoys hospitality, knows how to lead a team and understands what it takes to run a busy London restaurant.
You'll be responsible for delivering excellent service, managing daily operations and driving commercial performance while creating a positive, motivated team environment.
Key Responsibilities Lead the front-of-house team and ensure consistently high service standards.
Oversee daily restaurant operations, including opening and closing procedures.
Manage rotas, staffing levels and labour costs.
Drive sales, upselling and overall restaurant profitability.
Maintain excellent guest experiences and handle feedback professionally.
Recruit, train and develop team members.
Work closely with the kitchen and bar teams to ensure smooth service.
Monitor operational costs, stock control and business performance.
Ensure compliance with health and safety, licensing and company standards.
Support the senior management team in developing and improving the business.
What We're Looking For Previous experience as a Assistant General Manager in a busy, high-volume London restaurant.
A confident, approachable leader who leads by example.
Strong understanding of labour control, sales and restaurant financial performance.
Excellent organisational and communication skills.
Passion for food, wine and delivering memorable hospitality.
Comfortable working in a fast-paced environment.
A proactive, solutions-focused attitude with a genuine sense of ownership.
