Analyst
This is a hands-on, entry-level role at the centre of how ALT21 wins new business.
Reporting to the Head of Sales, you will own the day-to-day generation of new opportunities against our target market, running outbound activity, qualifying accounts, and booking meetings to completion.
Applying genuine judgement on which conversations are worth pursuing rather than just working a script.
You will also work closely alongside senior closers on live deals, learning how they build trust, structure a pitch, and bring an opportunity home, so that ownership of the full sales cycle becomes yours to take on as you progress.
What sets this role apart is the product depth.
ALT21 is a genuine FX fintech and treasury specialist, not a bank with FX bolted on, so we want an Analyst who's curious about the mechanics rather than reciting a pitch, someone who looks at a client's flow and asks "why are they hedging it this way, and what would serve them better?", and who wants to properly understand spot, forwards, options and treasury before they ever try to sell them.
Strong candidates will already show real hunger for outbound activity and client conversations; the more you bring, the faster you'll move through the structure.
Every deal you originate is closed alongside a senior colleague, so you're coached deal-by-deal rather than left to sink or swim, this is not a role for someone who wants to sit back and simply administer a pipeline.
Company overview
ALT 21 is an innovative, award-winning and dual-regulated FX hedging technology company.
We are a fast-growing business with offices in London, Dublin, Portugal and Malta and have undergone significant change over the last year on the back of a large funding round.
We build technology that simplifies hedging, providing a full suite of products distributed through our partner channels to SMEs.
Our mission is to use technology to bring essential financial risk management products to everyday businesses in a way that is easy for them to understand.
Key responsibilities and accountabilities
- Generate new opportunities for the senior sales team through consistent outbound activity — around 90–100 dials and an hour of talk time per day.
- Build and qualify a personal pipeline, hitting monthly targets of 20 qualified accounts, 5 meetings/demos booked and 4 new accounts.
- Work every opportunity alongside a senior colleague (S2), since all deals at this level require an S2 to close.
- Build the early client relationships and trust that make it possible for the senior team to close efficiently.
- Learn alt21's full product set — spot, forwards, options and treasury services — well enough to represent it credibly from your very first conversations.
- Automation, systems & technology
- Get hands-on with alt21's CRM and outreach tooling from day one, learning to work efficiently rather than manually.
- Start developing the instinct to notice repetitive, manual tasks and ask why they aren't automated — even at this level, curiosity about the tech is expected, not just tolerance for it.
- Use activity and pipeline dashboards to track your own numbers, so you own your progress towards target rather than waiting to be told.
- Leadership & collaboration
- Work closely with a senior colleague on every opportunity, learning firsthand how they structure and close a deal.
- Build relationships across the sales floor — Analysts here work alongside Senior AEs and Account Directors, not just other Analysts.
- Communicate clearly and proactively about pipeline status so nothing gets lost in the handover from your activity to a senior close.
- No direct reports at this stage, but you're expected to bring energy and good practice that lifts the team around you, not just your own numbers.
- Personal specification
Essential
- A genuine appetite for outbound sales activity and high call volumes.
- Comfortable with a target-driven, activity-based structure early in your career.
- Clear, confident communication — able to build rapport quickly on the phone.
- Curiosity about FX and financial markets, even without direct trading experience.
- Coachable — genuinely open to feedback from senior colleagues on every deal.
Desirable — strong candidates will show some or all of the following
- Some prior experience in an outbound sales, telesales or SDR/BDR-style role.
- Exposure to a CRM or sales-engagement platform.
- A demonstrable interest in FX, trading or financial markets (through study, personal trading, or prior internships).
- Early signs of an instinct for spotting and questioning inefficient, manual processes.
- Resilience and consistency — comfortable with a high-volume activity model that has quieter patches too.
