Alt Construction York Ltd is a York-based construction company operating across York and Leeds. We specialise in commercial fit-outs, listed building conversions, and high-quality residential and commercial building works. We are a small, close-knit team of five with a strong portfolio of delivered projects and an ambitious growth plan.
We are looking for a driven, self-motivated Business Development Executive to help us build relationships with architects, property developers, and commercial clients across Yorkshire.
The Opportunity
This is a commission-only freelance role — ideal for someone with existing construction or property industry contacts who wants to earn serious money without being tied to a salary structure. There is no ceiling on earnings.
You will be targeting architects and property developers in York, Leeds, and the surrounding area — introducing Alt Construction York as a preferred contractor for commercial fit-outs, conversions, and listed building works.
What You will be doing:
- Identifying and approaching target architects, developers, and commercial property owners
- Building relationships and generating meetings with key decision-makers
- Presenting Alt Construction York's capabilities and portfolio
- Passing qualified leads and opportunities to the director to quote and close
- Attending networking events, industry meetups, and site visits as required
- Maintaining a simple pipeline tracker and reporting activity weekly
Who we are looking for:
- Someone with existing contacts in the Yorkshire construction or property sector
- A natural relationship-builder who is comfortable with cold outreach and face-to-face meetings
- Self-motivated and able to work independently without day-to-day management
- Ideally with experience in construction, architecture, property development or commercial sales
- Comfortable working on a commission-only basis with patience to build a pipeline
You will earn 2.5% of the net contract value on every job that converts from your introduction to a signed contract. Commission is paid within 14 days of the client's deposit being received. No cap on earnings.
