Your future role
The Train Validation Engineer (TVE) is responsible for leading validation activities at the train level throughout tender and project execution. This includes applying standard processes, methodologies, and tools to ensure validation efficiency, preparing and delivering train‑level test procedures and reports, executing tests, and logging defects. The TVE also commits to and manages Quality, Cost, and Delivery (QCD) objectives for train validation, ensuring compliance and performance across all validation phases.
We’ll look to you for:
- Ensuring the timely issue of the Validation proofs (including proofs of lower‑level systems and components) and consolidating Validation files
- Efficient use of the TrainLab for functional validation with coverage and efficiency KPI reporting
- Defining and leading the functional test means readiness and early functional validation as part of the project validation strategy
- Providing structured REX to feed costing activities, and to enrich the Train Validation metier technical repository.
- Compliancy to EHS rules during Validation activities
- Reviewing part of the Sub‑System Validation Plan relevant to test exported at Train level and accepting (to be included in Train Validation Plan) or rejecting considering other possibilities
- Managing the Train level validation activities (on Trainlab and on Train), creating and maintaining the Validation Plan
- Managing the Train Validation project team and organising the Validation activities
- Managing the consolidation of Train Validation commitment and performance in due time for the tender or the project
- Approving Train System handover and test specifications
- Reviewing Train Test Procedures / reports
- Leading governances at project level and technical core team to secure validation scope
- Preparing the test campaign with right first‑time approach securing the maturity, the configuration and prerequisites
- Managing the validation schedule, optimising the validation sequence in accordance to train design and configuration maturity and test means availability
- For Validation scope establishing & organising Technical Interface with customer, producing Customer Documents and obtaining Customer Approval when necessary
