Your future role
Take on a key role in delivering high-quality electronic testing at Alstom. You’ll work closely with the Manufacturing Team to ensure you test not only the products, but the sub level PCBs with the ability to use the test gear that comes with it such as oscilloscopes, frequency generators, meters, computers and programmers. You will also be expected to be able to read circuit diagrams and hopefully fault find PCBs down to component level. Your efforts will help drive continuous improvement and maintain excellent right-first-time performance across the production schedule.
We’ll look to you to:
- Assemble and test electronic equipment accurately and on time, following build specifications and quality standards
- Complete tasks within standard build times, while maintaining precision and high-quality workmanship
- Support and collaborate positively with your team members, fostering a productive and safe working environment
- Adhere strictly to UK Health and Safety regulations and ALSTOM’s safe working practices
- Comply with ALSTOM Electronics’ quality standards, factory rules, and HR policies
- Consistently meet key performance indicators (KPIs) including right-first-time (RFT), efficiency, cost, and service levels
- Contribute to continuous improvement initiatives and support ongoing process development
- Meet deadlines and performance targets set by the Assembly Team Leader
- Build and maintain strong working relationships across the assembly team and Manufacturing functions
- Promptly report any Health and Safety concerns or near misses to the Assembly Team Leader
