Your future role
The role is for technical & commercial management of requirements. The focus is supporting the management of the Technical Specification in DOORS (Dynamic Object-Oriented Requirements System) for a high-speed project execution. The role includes understanding and linking the interface register to Customer Technical Specification clauses and managing technical contract movement with the commercial management team. Contract management of the MSA (Manufacture & Supply Agreement) and purchaser/manufacturer change notifications (PCN/MCN) for changes in design and linking this with the Requirements in DOORS up to Critical Design Gate (CDR) (in effect design freeze).
Responsibilities
- Manage the schedule of requirements management activities in accordance with the deadlines of each project and identify priority conflicts, risks and management of contract change leading to not meeting commitments.
- Import technical content and manage change of the Contract (MSA) into DOORS as an Engineering V-Cycle deliverable.
- Support is based on process, method & tool training, support in requirement quality review, support user manipulating the tool.
- Reporting Contract movement (KPI) for the project.
- Supporting COD (Chief of Development), TPM (Train Performance Manager), CAM (Certification & Authorisation Manager), TSM (Train Safety Manager), TAM (Train Architecture Manager), TDE (Train Design Engineer), SAA (System Architecture Area), TCE (Train Control Engineer) and TSS (Train Sub Systems) in:
- Clarifying and cleaning requirements,
- Synthesising requirements,
- Analysing & developing requirements,
- Allocating requirements,
- Defining Means of Proof associated to Requirements.

- System Engineering (including S/W (Software)) preferably applied to Railway products.
- Experience in using DOORs and knowledge of full end-to-end V-Cycle.
- Rollingstock (vehicle) knowledge.

- Ability to read a requirement in context is essential.
- Understanding interfaces (ICDs) and the impact on design and customer requirement.
- Understanding of contract construction (MSA).
- Experience in Rail Industry is preferred.
- Awareness of rail vehicle certification would be beneficial.
- Experience of ensuring external Customer Compliance.
