Overview
As an Electrical Design & Schematics Engineer at Alstom, you design the train’s electrical architecture, including cubicle layouts and wiring routes, and specify electrical apparatus per project requirements. You will produce PPS, SPS, and CPS documents to support accurate implementation across the project lifecycle. The role supports delivering complete electrical deliverables on baseline milestones and involves configuration management and continuous improvement. You’ll work in a collaborative, safety‑focused environment to advance greener and smarter mobility.

Responsibilities
- Design train electrical architecture including cubicle layouts and wiring routes
- Specify electrical apparatus according to Preferred Parts List and project requirements
- Produce PPS, SPS, and CPS documents for implementation
- Define routing, wiring lists, harness calculations, and train-level electrical architecture
- Manage deliverables configuration and input/output management for S&A QCD
- Oversee subcontracting inputs/outputs and RoE from previous projects
- Engage in continuous improvement and RoE management from prior initiatives
Key requirements
- Electrical and/or electrotechnical engineering knowledge
- Experience in electrical component selection and calculations
- Experience in using E3 tool (desirable)
- Electrical CAD experience
- Train system knowledge (highly desirable)
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Customer focus
- Structured, organised, hands-on approach
- Fluent in English
- Ability to work in an international, multi-site, matrix structure
