The Service Delivery Manager will oversee the daily delivery of a safe, clean and reliable train service, meeting TSA targets and operational objectives. They will manage effective communication and information systems to monitor suppliers, reduce rectification time and ensure warranty, safety and reliability issues are clearly identified. The role also ensures all supplier‑maintained fleet activities comply with Industry Standards, raising any anomalies to the Fleet Operations Manager.
Responsibilities:
- Ensuring that trains are safely supported so that performance quality and reliability targets are met.
- Ensure the efficient and responsive handling of real‑time operating technical support via the Control Center.
- Manage the Fleet Maintenance systems, to ensure that vehicles are presented for maintenance in accordance with Industry standards.
- Liaison with both customers Performance Manager to review the weekly performance of critical systems.
- Manage daily reports and information which measures and monitors key performance indicators such as availability, service defects, wheels, engine oil, special checks, etc.
- Conduct incident analysis on delays or safety incidents concluding with remedial or preventive action plans.
- Conduct a minimum of one safety discussion and high hazard inspection per month.
- Ensure all planning tools are up to date and correct.
- Manage unit requests by other functions.
- Ensure concessions are up to date and are being actioned.
Qualifications:
- Wide experience of Traction and Rolling stock is essential in at least 3 areas covering specification, design, development or maintenance.
- Experience within the Rolling Stock industry desirable.
- Good level of Interpersonal and influencing skills.
- Proven experience of working in a high‑pressured environment.
