Your future role

The Methods and Tools Engineer will drive business process efficiency by implementing and continuously improving engineering methodologies and toolsets. They will look to improve end-to-end (E2E) data flow across departments throughout the Development for Quality V-cycle contract execution, ensuring compliance with the Engineering Management Handbook and both local and central efficiency initiatives.

We’ll look to you for:

  • Act as the interface, for site, between engineering, IS&Tand central M&T.
  • CaptureMĂ©tierneeds, mitigate requirements to formalise functional specification according to tools’ capabilities.
  • Accompany development progress ofnew solutionsbuild with IS&T
  • Assure Methodologies deploy amongkey user (KU)network, animate KU network through regular meetings, and ensure their Level2assistanceon functional issues.
  • Study, formalise andmaintainmethodologies for Alstom toolsusage;propose &validatealternatives withMĂ©tierif necessary,
  • Establish Use cases andE2EStory withMĂ©tier: define functional validation plan and integration interfaces.
  • Pilot UAT (User Acceptance Test) with selectedKey Users(after IS&T unitary tests):consolidatestatus and propose potential workarounds.
  • Assess impact on ecosystem and dataflow, evaluate change effort, define deployment plan, and set associated progress KPIs.
  • ConsolidateTraining Kit, assure training of trainers on methodologies, andallocatetraining needsfor site.

  • Experienced in Methodologies definition for Engineering and Project Offices.
  • ExperienceofEngineering Data Management,(DMA/PLM4A/Catia) and experience in structuring of an engineering bill ofmaterials.
  • Knowledge of Engineering Design & Project WayofWorking(DevelopmentForQuality,Project Manual, Eng Manual) to interface with KU.
  • Understanding of Industrial Processes (Delmia, GSI, AOS) forinterfaces& co-engineering.
  • Able to manage simultaneously curative & structuring activities.
  • Experienceofworking in a diverse and international environment.
  • Pro-active,anticipatingRisks & Opportunities.
