Overview:
Take on a new challenge and apply your testing expertise in a new cutting-edge field. The role will be to manage all aspects of testing Signalling & TCMS software. Defining the most appropriate test methodology, testing means and developing the test operating mode in accordance with the costs, time and pass-fail criterion set for the test. Executing tests and providing reports.
We’ll look to you for:
- For Tests:
- Preparing the tests, they are responsible for:
- Participating in the design and the development of the tools necessary for performing the tests
- Implementing, verifying (functional), and ensuring compliance (calibration) of the measuring equipment to be ready at the time of the test.
- Preparing the equipment for testing. Validating that the applied configuration and prerequisite testing allows the testing to proceed.
- Respecting EHS rules notably implementing LockOut TagOut instruction.
- Supervising and/or executing test activities, analysing test results “live” and deciding if test must be redone or not.
- Test results data analysis, writing static and dynamic test reports.
- For Validation:
- Executing activities given by the Validation and Test Lead
- Updating the Validation Plan if needed
- Consolidating the specification of tools and test means (climatic chamber, train, ...)
- Tools & means procurement (design, purchase, reservation,)
- Writing Train System test procedures
- Ensuring the timely issuing of the Validation proves (including proves of lower-level systems and components) and consolidates Validation files.
- Providing structured REX to feed costing activities, and to enrich the CV metier technical repository.

- Mandatory:
- Engineering degree or equivalent experience.
- Previous experience working within a system engineering process environment.
- Validation testing on Rolling Stock Signalling systems including ETCS, CBTC and TPWS.
- Previous experience working on Aventra & Crossrail platform.
- Desirable:
- Experience of TCMS validation testing on Aventra platform or Crossrail.
- Knowledge in reading and understanding software schematics.
- Experience in reading and understanding train control wiring schematics.
- Competent using fault finding techniques.
