Your future role
The Product Configuration and Change Manager (CCM) is responsible for establishing, maintaining, and evolving the product configuration baseline throughout the product lifecycle. This role ensures robust change management, configuration control, and traceability from pre-tendering through project execution and sustaining phases. The Product CCM acts as the guardian of product integrity, ensuring that all changes are controlled, documented, and aligned with business, technical, and customer requirements.
We’ll look to you for:
- Configuration Management
- Establish and maintain the product baseline as the base Configuration Item List.
- Ensure the consistency and integrity of the product baseline across all lifecycle stages (As-Offerable, As-Sold, As-Built, As-Required, As-Designed, As-Administered).
- Oversee the handover of As-Built configuration to Service teams.
- Maintain digital continuity and traceability between engineering, industrialisation, and service.
- Lead and coordinate Product Change Control Boards (CCBs) to ensure no uncontrolled deviation from the product referential or from what has been sold.
- Ensure all changes are properly assessed, documented, and implemented in accordance with governance processes.
- Support risk assessment and mitigation planning related to configuration and change management.
- Actively support the Project and Service CCBs.
- Support pre-tendering, tender, project, and sustaining phases by ensuring configuration and change management deliverables are met.
- Collaborate with Product Directors, Chief Engineers, Program Managers, and other stakeholders to ensure alignment on configuration and change issues.
- Participate in product maturity evaluations and gap assessments, engaging actions to fill identified gaps.
- Deploy and maintain configuration management tools (e.g., PLM4A, DOORS, PLEiADE) to support digital product governance.
- Contribute to the continuous improvement of configuration and change management processes, methods, and tools.
- Ensure adherence to internal and external standards, processes, and regulatory requirements.
- Support audits and reviews related to configuration and change management.
