Your future role
As an Electrical Design & Schematics Engineer, you will be responsible for designing the train’s electrical architecture, including cubicle layouts and wiring routes. You will specify electrical apparatus in line with the Preferred Parts List and project requirements, ensuring compliance and functionality. Additionally, you will also be responsible for producing pure principle schemes (PPS) and detailed apparatus specifications to support accurate implementation throughout the project lifecycle.
We’ll look to you for:
- Ensure timely delivery of the complete electrical case or a set of electrical deliverables for each baseline, providing the right product at the right time to the project, including:
- Apparatus specification
- Connector coding specification
- Cubical specification
- PPS, Solution principle scheme (SPS), Cable principle scheme (CPS)
- Routing
- Wiring list
- Harness case & calculation
- Electrical architecture at train level
- Managing the configuration of their deliverables
- Managing the S&A QCD of their activities, sub-contracting management (inputs / outputs management)
- Continuous improvement or Return on Experience (RoE) management from previous project
