The predicted salary is between 36000 - 60000 £ per year.

An exciting new opportunity has arisen in our Banbury office within the Private Client Department. This role would suit a Wills & Probate Solicitor or Chartered Legal Executive, with experience of working independently on a range of Private Client matters.

  • Attend to clients
  • Produce accurate detailed work to ensure excellence in legal services
  • Maintain files and ensure efficient case management of Private Client matters
  • Draft any documentation in accordance with efficient file management including correspondence, briefs, court documentation, full attendance notes and statements of evidence
  • Time record in accordance with the Firm’s policy and prepare bills as necessary
  • Attend to clients in the office or in their homes
  • Undertake work necessary to build up maintain and manage a caseload
  • Undertake any reasonable instructions made by Directors, Department Heads or Fee Earners within the limits of this job description
  • Attend department meetings as required

Solicitor or Chartered Legal Executive with at least 3 years’ PQE or equivalent fee earning experience, running their own caseload with minimal supervision.

  • Experience of running a varied caseload of wills, LPAs and probate matters, including complex probate files
  • Excellent knowledge of Microsoft Windows, Word and Outlook and good keyboard skills
  • Ability to work within quality and case management systems
  • Experience of using Tikit is desirable
  • Dynamic in approach and uses initiative when dealing with current or potential clients
  • A positive approach to customer service
  • A team player and flexible in approach
  • Ability to deal with sensitive situations and difficult clients in a professional, confidential manner
  • Sufficient knowledge of the legal process to understand the work being undertaken
  • Knowledge of the work of a Private Client Department and the relevant law
  • Experience of legal procedures
  • Ability to travel between offices and attend off-site appointments as required
