An exciting new opportunity has arisen for a talented Solicitor/Chartered Legal Executive to work in our Dispute Resolution department. This opportunity is due to growth within the team. The successful candidate will work across our five office locations. The Dispute Resolution team is predominantly based at our Coventry office, and so it is anticipated that this role will spend some of the working week at Coventry.

Responsibilities:
  • Manage a varied caseload of Dispute Resolution matters.
  • Deal with client queries over the telephone and in person.
  • Undertake own work in accordance with the requirements of the Office Manual.
  • Achieve individual agreed targets and key performance indicators and contribute towards departmental targets.
  • Comply with quality systems and maintain systems and standards for compliance.
  • Attend departmental and firm-wide meetings.
  • Proficiently use the Firm’s case management system.
  • Organise and attend any appropriate internal and external training seminars.
  • Support in marketing and business development of the department, with the assistance of the Business Development Director, to include attendance at networking and exhibition events.
  • Undertake any reasonable instructions given by line manager and Directors within the limits of this job description.
Minimum Requirements:
  • Minimum of 3 years’ PQE in a Dispute Resolution department.
  • Strong team player.
  • Up-to-date knowledge of the law and legal system as required for the needs of this role.
  • Ability to work on own initiative.
  • Driving licence and use of own vehicle essential.
  • Working knowledge of Microsoft Windows, Word, Outlook, and Excel.
  • Experience of case management systems and time recording (knowledge of Tikit would be advantageous).
  • Knowledge and understanding of current AML regulations, SRA Accounts Rules, and Codes of Conduct.
  • Awareness of cybersecurity and data protection issues and legislation.
  • Excellent communication skills (both written and verbal); skilled in dealing sensitively with clients.
  • Willingness to work outside office hours as necessary to fulfil the needs of the role.
