Core Purpose
The Higher-Level Teaching Assistant will work as part of our SEND Team to support and challenge students, so they are fully included in all aspects of school life. The Higher-Level Teaching Assistant will promote the learning and welfare of vulnerable students and those who experience a barrier to learning. You will work with students, including those with SEND, providing individual assistance and implementing learning plans, to maximise achievement.
The successful candidate will work alongside the SEND co to adapt learning resources, design and deliver bespoke programmes of study that address our learners' social and emotional needs and coordinate the support delivered by our experienced team of Teaching Assistants. The successful candidate will be dedicated to changing the outcomes of some of our most vulnerable students. They will have excellent communication and interpersonal skills. It is crucial that the candidate is resilient and determined as they will be dealing with students with challenging behaviour and a range of complex needs.
