Sample Collection Driver – Saturday & Sunday Permanent Contract - Carlisle
About the Position
- Hours Per Week: 16
- Days Per Week: Saturday & Sunday plus cover – 16 hours (shift - between the hours of 06:00 – 18:00)
- Contract: Permanent contract
- Annual Salary: £10,334
- Areas Covered: North East Route
Day to Day
- Deliver samples to Laboratory site in a reasonable timeframe and in good condition
- Driving at all times in a safe and appropriate manner
- Ensuring the temperature control of the vehicle’s fridge is maintained at all times
- Developing and maintaining a good professional relationship with staff and clients
- Carrying out monthly swabbing on company vehicles
- Maintaining a smart appearance of both driver and vehicle
- Ensuring that vehicle maintenance is upheld including tyres, oil, water and overall condition of the vehicle
Essentials
- A full clean driving licence
- Good adherence to the rules of the road and demonstrate excellent driver behaviour standards
- Ideally have previous experience in a similar role
- Have a good working knowledge of UK road networks
- Have excellent communication skills
- Be flexible and reliable
- Self-motivated, proactive, enthusiastic & friendly disposition
- Ability to work under pressure and to tight deadlines
- Ability to act upon information given and use initiative
