Taste and Odour Analyst
Join ALS as a Taste and Odour Analyst. In this role you’ll support the taste and odour panel by setting up samples, preparing them, conducting measurements, presenting to the panel and reporting findings. Although you will not perform direct taste or odour testing, you will play a key role in the behind‑the‑scenes process.

- Hours per week: 37
- Days per week: Monday to Friday (08:00‑16:00)
- Contract: Full Time and Permanent
- Annual salary: From £24,242
Day to Day Responsibilities
- Deliver daily service to meet company KPIs with a positive and professional approach.
- Understand and effectively communicate customer requirements to ensure accuracy and satisfaction.
- Report analytical data once deemed competent under the relevant regulations.
- Collaborate with the team to ensure an efficient and smooth flow of samples.
The Essentials
- A-Level or equivalent qualification in a scientific subject.
- Strong communication and customer service skills.
- Previous lab experience is preferable.
- Ability to follow instructions and procedures accurately.
- Basic IT skills and the ability to keep detailed records.
- Organised and capable of managing your own work area effectively.
- A team player with attention to detail and a focus on safety and compliance.
